Happy Tip Tuesday: Kindness Begets Kindness

I was talking to my staff yesterday and said, “Can you believe that we have only been in this for a week?” By “this” I’m of course referring to dealing with the COVID-19 crisis we find ourselves in.

In this week, I’m sure we have ALL had to breathe deeper, listen more closely, send out reassurances, dig deeper, adapt to swift changes and show deep kindness, patience, and compassion. I know I haven’t been perfect this last week but each day I wake up and try my best, as I know you all are doing.

Thank you for all you are doing for your students and your staff. Please remember to be kind to yourself. Self-care helps you care for others better. And right now, we all need more care. So, remember to stay healthy, eat right, get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and talk to someone if you feel emotionally and mentally overwhelmed. These are scary times. But we will get through them – TOGETHER – and come out the other side stronger and better for it.
