Something is off.
And you don't have the words for it.

You’ve tried to make sense of it.
You’ve tried to explain it.

So you keep moving.

You’re trying to understand what’s happening.
Why people are making the moves that they are.

Especially when decisions are made,
and something about it just doesn’t feel right.

And over time,
you stop trying to name it.

You just push it down, and keep it moving.

You carry it

so your team doesn't have to.

You take the hit,

over and over again.

And this is the part we don’t say out loud,

Your line in the sand starts to move.

What you said you would never accept.
What you said you wouldn’t stay quiet about.

What you're hollding, without compensation.

And now, you’re holding it.

You tell yourself it’s temporary.
That you’re strong enough.
That you can make it work.
That it’s your responsibility to protect.

So you keep going.

But you’re not just navigating the work.

You’re navigating power.

How decisions are made.
Who gets heard.
Who gets protected.
Who gets rewarded.
And who doesn’t.

And what happens when harm keeps happening.

And at the same time,

You’re not always seeing the power you actually have.

Because over time, the system shapes that too.

It shapes how you see yourself.
What you believe is within your control.
What you think is possible.
And what you think you have to tolerate.

Until at some point, you stop and say,

It's the system.

You’re not just doing your job
you’re trying to make sense of all of this, too.

This is where you start to see it differently.

It's not you.

It never was.

You've been trying to make sense of something

you don't actually have full visibility into.

And that changes the question. â€‹

Not:

How do I fix this?

But:

What is actually mine to hold?

What is within my control?

And what am I ready to stop carrying?

And what would it look like to move differently?

You'll walk away seeing this differently.

A way to see what's is actually shaping what's happening around you.

Language to name what you've been feeling

but haven't been able to fully name

A way to move differently

without carrying what isn't yours

These are the conversations we don't have.
The things we don't say out loud.

You've been compensating for a lot.

Working harder.

Pushing it down.

Looking out for your team.

Recalibrating more times than you can count.

Trying to make sense of something

that doesn't fully make sense.

And then at a certain point, something shifts.

You start to see it differently.

And you realize,

this might not be about me.

This might be the system I'm working within.

About Your Facilitator

D05A4837ed.jpg

Debra Griffith, Ed.D. is an executive coach and senior leader who has spent her career working inside complex education systems across 6–12 schools, community colleges, and universities.

She understands what it means to lead in environments that are often unclear, constantly shifting, and not always designed with you in mind, while still being responsible for moving work forward.

Her work is grounded in a systems lens, with a focus on helping leaders make sense of what they are navigating, see patterns more clearly, and lead with greater clarity and intention.

Over time, she has seen that what feels like an individual leadership challenge is often connected to something larger how work is structured, where misalignment exists, and what leaders are being asked to carry without the conditions to move it forward.

If this webinar session resonates, this is the work we continue.

There are different ways to stay in it, depending on what you need.

You’ll hear more about that in the session.
